The Supreme Court on Thursday gave the National Testing Agency (NTA) the green light to announce the NEET UG 2021 Results examination by suspending a Bombay High Court ruling to hold new exams for two aspirants.
The decision was issued after the two students complained that they were given question papers and answer sheets with different serial numbers during the examination.
The High Court injunction was stayed by a bench led by Justice L. Nageswara Rao, allowing the NEET UG 2021 Results to be released. The Bench stated that it would look at the case of the two pupils in greater detail later, including what may be done for them.
“These students must not be abandoned. “The invigilator has acknowledged the error,” Justice Rao said.
The NTA had filed an appeal with the Supreme Court, challenging the High Court’s decision.
The NTA’s Solicitor General Tushar Mehta stated that the mistake arose in the case of six pupils, just two of whom had been in court.
“The remaining four took the exam and did well,” Mr. Mehta explained.
The court stated again that there was no justification to withhold the results because of two students’ complaints. Thousands of youngsters’ futures were on the line.
“There are 16 lakhs of students who are waiting for the results with bated breath. We’ll take a look at what we can do for these two students… The NTA is prepared to correct the situation… “Please make the results public,” Justice Rao requested.
The court rescheduled the case for November 12 to examine in depth whether any relief could be granted to the two students.
